Vancouver (1-1-2=4 pts) takes on the Arizona Coyotes (3–1–1 =7 pts) in their only meeting in preseason play.
The Canucks have lost their last two games, and three of their four preseason games, including a 3-2 OT loss to San Jose on Sunday.
The Coyotes enter the game on a winning note as Shane Doan scored a power-play goal at 3:53 of overtime in the Arizona Coyotes’ 3-2 preseason win against the Anaheim Ducks at Gila River Arena on Saturday.
Arizona is 1-1-1 on the road in preseason while Vancouver is 1-0-1 at home.
What’s at stake:
Vancouver will be looking to end its losing streak at two games with a victory tonight.
Vancouver was 0 for 5 on the power play against San Jose on Sunday night, and the same against the Sharks on September 27, and need to jump start their inept man advantage play, and avoid another large goose egg on the power play tonight.
In three preseason games—against the Sharks and Flames— Vancouver is 0 for 15; against Edmonton, they were a perfect 2 for 2.
Vancouver special teams are 2 for 17 on the power play with 16 shots on net; 18 for 23 on the penalty kill with 9 shots for on net and two shorthanded goals (one an empty net goal), so far this preseason.
