Bobby Ryan (hand) is questionable for tonight. “There’s progress forward,” Ryan said Wednesday. “It’s getting better every day. It’s responding the way we had hoped, with a couple of days to take the initial shock and pain out of it.”-  Ottawa Citizen

Craig Anderson will be between the pipes tonight against Boston.

The coach confirms that Craig Anderson will start in goal tomorrow against the Bruins.

Montreal Canadiens

Nathan Beaulieu, who took a puck to the throat Tuesday night, will sit out tonight’s game and is doubtful for the start of the Canadiens’ five-game road Saturday in Detroit. The Canadiens have recalled Mark Barberio from St. John’s and he will be teamed with Greg Pateryn as the third defence pair. Joel Hanley goes back to St. John’s. – Montreal Gazette

Forward Cal Clutterbuck took the pre-game warmup but was unable to go in the game Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. Clutterbuck was injured the previous night in Anaheim. – New York Newsday

Forward J.T. Brown was scratched Wednesday because of an upper-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. – Tampa Bay Times
